Garden Season is upon us…

At last, Spring is here! The trees are budding, and nature is showing out with its first flowers. Azaleas, iris, and tulips are crowning flower beds and chickweed, violets and purple deadnettle are adorning lawns. I love watching the plants around me wake up after a long winter’s nap. Here at our place we have been busy prepping and planting for the past couple of months in preparation for another stunning season. The greenhouse is already full! We are so excited for the opportunity to offer herb potted plants this year. We are also growing a few new-to-us varieties of mint. Mint is an incredibly versatile herb. It can be used for tea, as a stand-alone mint herbal tea or as a great addition to your favorite black or green tea blend. Mint can also be used for culinary purposes, served in dishes such as lamb chops, salads, or desserts. Used topically in a salve or oil, mint has also been credited with helping to reduce pain, stimulate circulation and ease headaches. Taken orally, mint can support imbalances such as indigestion and nausea and ease respiratory symptoms. Its wide application makes it a perfect addition to the garden. When planting mint, be aware it can spread easily by runners. Plant mint in pots, or in a place you’d like to enjoy harvesting it for a long time! In addition to our potted mint plants, we offer a variety of products that include mint, including our Mint and Herbal Tea Blends, Rosemary Mint Salve, Beard Oil, and Revive Lip Balm.

Garden season is upon us. Try something new this Spring and have fun playing in the dirt!
